Connecting Students & Community
Land Acknowledgement
The University of Manitoba campuses and research spaces are located on original lands of Anishinaabeg, Ininiwak, Anisininewuk, Dakota Oyate, Dene and Inuit, and on the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.
We respect the Treaties made on these lands, and recognize the past and ongoing human rights violations on these stolen lands. We commit ourselves, as individuals and as a student association, to take action to move towards reconciliation and decolonization in solidarity with Indigenous nations.
What We Do

The Masters of Human Rights Student Association (MHRSA) provides support and community for students in the Masters of Human Rights (MHR) and Masters of Law and Legal Studies (LLM) programs. We provide opportunities for engagement, both within the graduate programs at Robson Hall, and the broader university and Winnipeg community through activism and community connections events. We also aim to aid students through our community engagement fund, whether that be travel for conferences or attending community events!
